Dante

Dante is an absolute character who is sure to brighten your day!

This stunning young man was born on the streets but has a natural affection for humans. When he first came into care and was in a quarantine enclosure, his foster carer was able to pet him within a matter of days, and soon Dante found himself absolutely loving head scratches and pats.

Since being let out into a larger room, he has become a bit more elusive, but he still loves people and is Sooo Close to letting them pat him! He has also helped his scared and spicy foster siblings to see that humans aren't so bad (at the very least, humans bring food!).

Dante is incredibly cheeky. He loves to explore and he often follows his foster carer around the house or sneaks into rooms where he knows he's not supposed to be... and then he runs away like a big goofball when he realises he's been spotted. This is by far his favourite game.

Please note: if you take Dante into your home, you *must* keep a very close eye out for possible escape routes! Dante managed to slip out the front door of his foster home while his carer was bringing something inside, and he disappeared in a flash! Luckily we were able to get him back into a trap within a couple of days, but he is too curious for his own good, and we need to make sure he stays indoors so that he can settle in properly.

Dante is going to be an absolutely wonderful forever cat, he just needs a family who can spend a bit of time with him to get him over that little bit of hesitance he still has around humans. He is a gorgeous boy and absolutely full of beans!

Dante gets along beautifully with other cats. We would love to see him go into a home along with one of our slightly more timid cats (his uncle Leviathan; his mumma Poe; or his foster brother Peppercorn), because he truly is helping them to socialise, but we understand that this is a lot to ask of someone.

Given his curious, laid-back, and silly nature, it is also likely that Dante would get along well with a dog, though he has not been tested with any.

Please consider opening your home and heart to a couple of our gorgeous cats, or at least to Dante. The more cats we get into foster care, the more cats we can take into care. They all deserve a chance.
