About Knox
Knox is such a sweetheart and an absolute angel. He may be going to grow into a big boy – just check out his paws! - but he is a very gentle and loving individual. Knox loves his foster carers and is friendly with everyone that he meets. Knox is an absolute snuggle bug who loves snuggling up with his foster carers on the lounge to watch TV. He even tries fitting in your lap for cuddles, so you’ll need to watch out for him turning into an overgrown lap dog when he is older! Knox is a playful puppy, and he has his carers in stitches watching him fall over his big, long legs. He is a goofy boy who loves his toys, particularly the soft ones which he throws around in his own little game.
While in care, Knox has been living with a couple of friendly adult dog. He is social with other dogs and enjoys playing with others. He particularly enjoys playing tug of war and rumbling games. His new owners will need to be able to give him regular socialisation with other dogs throughout his development, ideally in the form of playdates with known friendly dogs. Knox will need daily exercise and mental stimulation to keep him happy and healthy throughout his life. In his foster home, Knox has enjoyed going out to new places and thoroughly enjoyed romping around at the beach.
Knox is expected to grow to an extra large size (we believe the father was extra large and the mother large) so it is very important that his new owners are committed to teaching him everything he needs to know to be a good canine citizen. He has begun his basic training and is learning well. He already knows how to sit, wait for his food and is walking nicely on the lead. Knox is food motivated and responds really well to verbal encouragement so is progressing really well. At home, Knox is doing great with toilet training and quickly learnt where to go. He is crate trained and sleeps there throughout the night without a peep. Knox will also spend a couple of hours home alone in his crate without an issue. He also travels well in the car and he would love a new family who can take him on adventures and continue to get him out and about in the world to explore.
We are looking for a dog experienced home for Knox, preferably with owners who have previous large/extra large dog experience. He would do well living in a home with another large/extra large sized adult dog who is still playful and fully trained up to be a good role model for him. Otherwise, Knox would be fine to live as an only dog if his owners are home most of the time at the beginning to transition him to this lifestyle. This boy should be allowed to be inside to be with the family and will need a warm comfy bed inside to sleep on at night.
Knox is young enough to learn to live with other types of pets with the appropriate guidance and training from his owners. He currently is living with a dog friendly cat with no issue. Knox would be fine to live with extremely dog savvy children who are used to large/giant dogs. This gorgeous boy will need owners who are committed to turning him into a stand out example of what a big dog can be. In turn, Knox will provide lots of cuddles and affection to his new family.
If you would like to make this beautiful boy a part of your family, then please complete a Dog Adoption Enquiry form on the Fetching Dogs website as the first step. Please provide plenty of details about your previous dog experience, current household members and the type of lifestyle you can offer Knox.

This puppy will be adopted out under a desexing contract that will require the dog to be desexed by a given age. The cost of desexing will be included as part of the adoption fee. A $250 desexing bond will be payable in addition to the adoption fee and will be refunded upon proof of desexing. This process is further discussed with successful applicants.
Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
