About Solo
Solo is a simply delightful puppy! He is a gorgeous little boy with a beautiful temperament. Solo loves the company of people and is super friendly. He loves cuddle time and loves it when people give him pats and attention. You will often find him lying by his foster carer’s feet chilling out. Solo is a playful fellow who enjoys playing with his toys. He particularly likes his soft cuddly toys but sometimes they accidently explode! Solo also enjoys exploring the garden and likes to pick up sticks and leaves along the way.
While in foster care, Solo has been living with 3 other dogs and a cat. He gets along with everyone and loves playing with the other dogs. Solo will need to have regular playdates with other known friendly dogs, preferably in the form of controlled playdates. He is a working breed mix who is expected to grow to a medium size and be moderately active. Solo will need to be supplied with daily exercise and mental stimulation to keep him happy and healthy throughout his life.
Solo is a very clever little boy. He learns quickly and is food motivated. He has already learnt to sit and also knows leave it and how to wait for his food. Solo is walking really well on the lead and has started to be taking out to explore the world. His new owners will need to be committed to his ongoing training throughout his development to ensure he grows up to be a great canine citizen. At home, Solo is progressing well with his toilet training and is crate trained which is where he sleeps throughout the night without a peep. He travels well in the car and would love to be included on daily activities and outings with his new family.
We are looking for a dog experienced home for Solo where he will be a loved member of the family. He would do very well in a home with another adult dog who is friendly and already trained so that they can be a good role model for the new puppy. It would also be fine for Solo to be an only dog, but he will need his owners home more often than not, particularly at the beginning so that he can be gently transitioned to this type of lifestyle. He will need to be allowed inside to be with the family and will need a warm comfy bed inside to sleep on at night.
Solo is young enough to learn to live with dog savvy children or other types of pets as long as he is given the appropriate training and guidance. This little fellow is too cute for words and will make a wonderful addition to his new family. Solo has a couple of unique features that are reminders of the rough start he had in life. He came into care from far western NSW with two brothers - all skinny and dirty. Solo has a broken tail which will not cause him any issues moving forward – it’s just a little crooked! He also has a little raised spot on the top of his head as he came in with a superficial skin injury on his head that has left a little bump in the skin. All of this adds to his story and his cuteness.
If you would like to make this gorgeous boy a part of your family, then please complete a Dog Adoption Enquiry form on the Fetching Dogs website as the first step. Please include plenty of details about your previous dog experience, current household members and the type of lifestyle Solo will have with you.

This puppy will be adopted out under a desexing contract that will require the dog to be desexed by a given age. The cost of desexing will be included as part of the adoption fee. A $250 desexing bond will be payable in addition to the adoption fee and will be refunded upon proof of desexing. This process is further discussed with successful applicants.
Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
