Introducing Shadow!

This ridiculously sweet old boy is a Persian x Himalayan born 29th October 2008. That's right, this handsome young lad is 15 years old and searching for someone to love.

Shadow was brought in to us by concerned members of the public to check if he had a microchip. They told us over the phone he was in poor condition but it wasn't until we saw him in person that we understood to what extent.

Shadow is so skinny you can feel every rib, hip and shoulder bone. His hair was so matted it blocked his faeces from leaving his body. He had scrapes, scars, overgrown nails and fleas. Despite all of this he is still the most affectionate boy. He rubs all over you for affection and if you find the right spot under his chin his back leg starts kicking with joy. Shadow is very much a purry boy and we even spotted some "happy feet" while we cut away his mats.

Shadow was microchipped, but his details were out of date long ago. For six days Dee has been running down leads, door knocking & doing her usual detective work, only to find out that his "owners" were people she had already spoken to, who claimed to have no knowledge of the cat or who his owners could be.
We got them to surrender him to us for rehoming.

Shadow is looking for a special family who is willing to help nurse him back to a healthy weight and to treat him like a prince for the rest of his days. While it won't make up for the first 15yrs of his life, this gorgeous boy deserves to be pampered, spoiled & loved until his last breath. We want him to know what being truly loved feels like.

With how horrendous his condition is from being an outdoor cat, he will be rehomed to a family who will keep him as an inside cat only.

Unfortunately Shadow doesn't appear to enjoy the company of other animals, so he will need to be the only pet at home.

Shadow is litter trained and would make a wonderful addition to most families.
