About JJ
**Application Required**
Name: JJ
Organization: Riverina and District Animal Rescue (R.A.D.A.R.)
Microchip No.: 991003002550203
Age: Approximately 9 months
Sex: Male
JJ is a very sweet and loveable Kelpie X pup, named after the main character in Ahn Do's kids book series "Smarty Pup". JJ loves everyone he meets (i.e. he isn't exactly guard dog material) and is great with kids. As a work dog breed he does enjoy keeping active, but he also fancies himself as a lap dog (despite his long legs) and is only too keen to curl up on the couch with you. Really, he is a total smooch and is very partial to a good hug !
He gets along well with other dogs and has learnt his doggie manners while in care with other dogs of all sizes, from a large Maremma to a tiny but sassy Pomeranian (both of whom can and do correct him and his youthful exuberance if needed).
While in foster care JJ has shown that he is very intelligent, trainable and willing to learn, and would thrive with continued education. He has been microchipped, desexed, wormed and has had all of his vaccinations. JJ is no fuss with food, has a "yeah, I could eat !" attitude, is toilet trained and travels well.
Enquires and applications for JJ are welcome (though please excuse the tears from his foster carers when he finds his forever family) and can be submitted via the R.A.D.A.R. website: https://radarescue.org/
Adoption details
Firstly you will need to complete an application with your name and address and contact details for the microchip records. Our online application form is available on our website https://radarescue.org/adoption
Or an application form can be requested by using the Email Carer feature on the pet's listing.
Please note that while we consider all applications in the order in which we receive them, our animals are not adopted out on a first come, first served basis. Our objective is to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable ‘forever’ home available to meet the animal's (and the person’s) characteristics and needs.
The final decision about which new home the animal goes to is made by the foster carer based on their knowledge and understanding of the potential home and the personality of the individual animal. Sometimes it may take several enquiries before you find the right RADAR furry friend for you!
We will need a non-refundable holding deposit of $50 minimum to hold a pet for you whilst awaiting everything to be finalised, however this amount is deducted from the adoption fee.
RADAR expects full payment on exchange of the pet or prior to it leaving on transport.
RADAR expects you to be responsible for transport costs. We can help source appropriate transport options or help find accommodation if you need to travel and stay overnight.
It is understood that if all goes wrong that you can return the pet safely and unharmed to RADAR for a full refund within two weeks of the adoption.
