About JJ
**Application Required**
Name: JJ
Organization: Riverina and District Animal Rescue (R.A.D.A.R.)
Microchip No.: 991003002550203
Age: Approximately 5-6 months
Sex: Male
JJ is a super smart Kelpie X pup, named after the main character in Ahn Do's kids book series "Smarty Pup". Being a work dog breed he is very active and likes to keep busy and be involved in everything. While in foster care JJ has shown that he is very intelligent, trainable and willing to learn, and he is at a great age to continue with further education. JJ would thrive with a job to do or with an active owner/family who can offer him some room to move during the day and a place to snuggle in with his family at night.
JJ is a very loveable lad ! He is social and friendly with everyone he meets, always up for a yarn and readily warms to new people (i.e. not guard dog material !). He is guilty of thinking he is a lap dog despite his larger size and is a big softy.
He gets along well with other dogs of all shapes and sizes (he is currently in care with four other dogs ranging from large Maremma size to a tiny (but sassy) Pomeranian) and is a pleasure to have around. Potential new adopters would need to keep in mind that he is a typical Kelpie pup though and is a little rough and rumble at this age, so consideration of the personalities/ temperaments and age of existing pets in the family should be given.
JJ has been microchipped, desexed, wormed and has had all of his puppy vaccinations. JJ is no fuss with food, has a "yeah, I could eat !" attitude and is 99% toilet trained.
Enquires and applications for JJ are welcome and can be submitted via the R.A.D.A.R. website: https://radarescue.org/
Adoption details
Firstly you will need to complete an application with your name and address and contact details for the microchip records. Our online application form is available on our website https://radarescue.org/adoption
Or an application form can be requested by using the Email Carer feature on the pet's listing.
Please note that while we consider all applications in the order in which we receive them, our animals are not adopted out on a first come, first served basis. Our objective is to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable ‘forever’ home available to meet the animal's (and the person’s) characteristics and needs.
The final decision about which new home the animal goes to is made by the foster carer based on their knowledge and understanding of the potential home and the personality of the individual animal. Sometimes it may take several enquiries before you find the right RADAR furry friend for you!
We will need a non-refundable holding deposit of $50 minimum to hold a pet for you whilst awaiting everything to be finalised, however this amount is deducted from the adoption fee.
RADAR expects full payment on exchange of the pet or prior to it leaving on transport.
RADAR expects you to be responsible for transport costs. We can help source appropriate transport options or help find accommodation if you need to travel and stay overnight.
It is understood that if all goes wrong that you can return the pet safely and unharmed to RADAR for a full refund within two weeks of the adoption.
