About Tommy STA011760
Meet Tommy, the extremely handsome, strong and resilient gentleman who is finally ready to enjoy the good things in life. Despite suffering from past injuries and health issues, Tommy has experienced an incredible recovery. After receiving all necessary veterinary care, including dental work and treatment for his eyes, Tommy is physically and mentally flourishing. He wears his perseverance and bravery like badges of honour, demonstrating an admirable love for life despite his past hardships.
Tommy is a discerning guy who appreciates a good meal and a comfortable environment to relax in. This doesn't mean he's a diva; he simply values the finer things in life from a comfortable bed to high-quality cat food. Tommy enjoys the attention he gets from his human companions, but likes having his space respected - he's not one for being smothered.
Tommy is not one to share his kingdom, in fact he has zero tolerance with his fellow felines. Given what he has been through nobody could blame him. Tommy is FIV+ so having an indoor lifestyle suits him perfectly, as it offers a safe and calm environment he can truly call his own. Tommy would also prefer a household without young children; he's fonder of the quiet aspect of life where he can take a leisurely nap or groom himself in peace.
Indeed, Tommy is not just a survivor; he's the epitome of courage and dignity. He is on the lookout for a loving family that can weave an indoor haven of safety around him, appreciate his journey, and adore him for the brave guy that he is. More than anything, Tommy can't wait to finally enjoy life's simple, loving joys with a family that's just as exceptional as he is.
Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
