About Hugo
Meet Hugo! He is so happy-go-lucky fun-loving smoochy, loveable boy! 🧡
Hugo is currently living a great life on acreage. His perfect day involves hanging out with his humans; enjoying the country air and playing with his Kong (he loves to chase it being thrown around the yard). 🪀
He’s very content and easy to please! Hugo has been very loved by his family, but unfortunately his living arrangements are about to change. Through no fault of his own, he now needs a new home. 🥺
He has always lived on acreage, so is not familiar with being walked on a lead, or living in suburbia. However, he is such a cruisy, happy boy, that he would adapt if he had a nice yard to explore in a relatively quiet suburb. 🏡
If he found a new home on acreage, even better! He can be excitable meeting new people or in moments of joy, but he calms down quickly. He may need a bit more lead guidance on walks, but he’s very smart and will learn quickly. 🎓
He’s grown up around young children. We’d recommend children over 6, only because he can get excited and has that playful staffy energy at times. 👨👩👧👧
He has also lived with a female dog. He hasn’t had a lot of canine socialisation, but seems to go with the flow when new dogs have been at the neighbour’s place, or visited. He’s more likely to be excited when he meets new dogs.🐶🐶👌
Hugo doesn’t bark excessively, but he’ll just give a polite heads up when someone is arriving in the driveway. He might let you know when a storm is approaching too, but is very happy to chill inside with his humans during these times. 👮♂️
He has not been tested with cats.🐱
He needs a home where he can sleep inside and hang with his family but access to a well secured property.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.

Adoption details
We list animals for adoption on Pet Rescue as well as on our own Animals-in-Need-Brisbane website. We talk with people who contact about an animal to see what their needs and situation are. Our emphasis is on getting the right animal for the people and the right people for the animal. If everyone's needs are met things usually work out well.
Please note all our cats are indoor cats only.
If the situation sounds good we arrange a meeting. If all goes well we let people try the animal out for a couple of weeks to ensure that everyone is happy.
We keep records of all adopters, follow up to ensure all is well and undertake to take back any animal if circumstances change.
