About Toby
Hello, my name is Toby and I'm looking for my forever humans.
I am a gorgeous 3 month and 3 week old Bichon Frisé x who has come into care from a very yucky background but the rescue saved me and my mum and dad and now we are just loving life.
I am a little shy with new humans but a milky stick treat or some devon (I know I know) helps me get over my nerves and then once i get to know you you will see the snuggler I am!
I came into care after having a not very nice upbringing but the rescue made sure I was cleaned and groomed, and all my vet work was done up-to-date and the food oh the yummy good quality food i have been eating is great!
I currently live in a home where my humans work some days from home and others day in the office - I don't really mind them leaving but thats cause I've got other fur foster siblings to play it. My foster mum thinks if I go to a similar home with another dog and work style I will be okay.
I currently weigh 4.9kgs
I am currently living with other dogs and I like to play with, snuggle with and generally just have with me for company
I love my food and like the odd treat.
I currently live with a 10 year old boy - he doesn't really bother me and i don't really bother him
I am untested on cats but young so could easily learn to cohabitate with them
I enjoy playing with soft toys and atm I have a bit of bad luck where a few dog beds have exploded on me - it was very traumatic and my foster mum says it amazes her how each time its when I'm just lying there all innocent and stuff and then she mutters something about I'm a young pup I will grow out of it
I have not done any lead training or walks - the rescue was making sure while i was in care that i was building up my confidence at home and also making sure i had all my vet shots and stuff but we could learn to do that together - that would be fun yeah? I'm white so any harness would probably look amazing on me!
I do also enjoy a good snooze after a play with my siblings - I'm happy on a dog bed, next to the dog bed, on the humans bed, on the couch - I'm not really fussed honest
I will take myself out to the toilet if the door is open but I have been known to make mistakes occasionally when the door was shut – a doggy door would be highly recommended and I’m a quick learner so a few days of showing me would make things so easier.
My ideal home would be where I can be inside as much as I want and have access outside for business and some play and sunbaking. I would not enjoy being a dog that would be expected to spend hours outside by myself.
I do have a coat that requires regular grooming so please make sure that you do remember that it’s a life time of grooming.
I am looking for that forever home that will love me and I can love you – are you that home?

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
