Bonnie - 15 Week Old Border Collie X (Trial)

Bonnie or Bon Bon as her foster family call her is a 15 week old Collie x Kelpie female pup. Apart from the short coat Bonnie is very much Collie in looks and temperament and will grow up to be a medium sized dog.

Bonnie is currently in foster care on a small acreage with three other dogs… a quiet older male, a quirky Whippet and a boisterous 18mth old Kelpie, plus two horses which she has been introduced to from the other side of the fence. Bonnie has adapted very quickly to the other resident dogs’ energy and personality differences so would suit a home with one or more doggy friends. Bonnie also loves people and has won the hearts of all who have met her with her affectionate nature and cute little face. Bonnie has only been left alone for short periods whilst in foster care and has shown no signs of separation anxiety although she has always had the company of the other dogs.

Bonnie is toilet trained, has learnt to sit, come, and down which she still needs reminding of as she can be a little jumpy when meeting new people. Bonnie sleeps soundly through the night inside with the other dogs and has access to indoors and outdoors through the day.

As her breed suggests Bonnie is smart, attentive and a quick learner and so would benefit from ongoing guidance and training to reach her full potential as a perfect companion. As an individual Bonnie is a confident, relaxed, playful, super cute little girl who would prefer a home with a large yard and/or regular walks or visits to the dog park.

Bonnie’s adoption fee is $700 which includes her desexing when she is old enough. It also includes her first two vaccinations. She has been treated for fleas and worms, and is microchipped.

Bonnie is in foster care in Maitland NSW. Since she is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. She’ll need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when she is 5 to 6 months old.
