Austin

Austin is a delightful 3.5 year old obedient, laid-back, house trained boy who just wants to be
everyone’s friend. He does forget how tall he is, so just let him know to be gentle if other dogs
approach you on walks. He loves his 30 - 40 minute strolls in the morning and another late
afternoon. He is then down for most of the day. He does like to have his own space to lay down so
don’t worry if he disappears in the house. If encouraged he will show you how he zooms around but
don’t expect it to last more than 60 seconds. He is a greyhound after all. Then he is back down
catching his breath or in his shell pool for a cool down. He fell into a routine less than a week which
makes him very easy to live with. Good with other Adults and older kids, but not cats. Not tested
with young small kids as yet. He loves a car drive, even over 2 hours long. He likes to eat early,
between 5.30pm to 6.30pm so he can settle in by 7pm and sleep his way through to the morning all
while controlling his bladder so he doesn’t need to wake you for toilet runs. Austin prefers to be
with people that are home more often than not as he just loves the company but can stay on his
own in the house. Just be sure to give him a few hugs when you return.
