About Odie
Hey you! Yep you – please don’t scroll past me – I'm looking for my furever home and i hope its you!
I am a young loving but fun boy who is nearly 12 weeks of age and ready to take on the world!
I am what they call a Labradoodle – yep that’s a Labrador Retriever and a Poodle! (my mum was the Labrador and dad was the miniature Poodle - dad has come into care with us as well)
Me and my 3 other brothers have come into care to ensure we go to homes best suited for us and our needs.
So a few practical things to get out of the way before we discuss more
1. Yes all our bios are all very similar – because we are all 11 week old pups still forming our personalities and cheekiness
2. Yes you can apply to meet more than just me just put the names on the application – just know that only one of us can be adopted per family so there is no littermate issues
3. We leave care at 12 weeks of age
The rescue has taken such good care of me (Odie), Harvey, Darcy and Frankie
So my foster mum said I have to tell you all about myself, okay let’s see
I am a typical pup who loves life, people and of course other dogs to play with.
I am a real mummies boy and love to be with her when she does anything - kitchen - I'm there, bathroom - I'm there! With a smile on my face and love in my eyes at you!
I now loooves dogs and loves to play and loves to say hi to humans.
I think I am just divine and smart as a whip (ha ha ha I'm a puppy some days I can be distracted by a leaf blowing!), I love a cuddle in the morning and then some playtime with my sibling – its super fun to go outside and play – be either just running around with my foster siblings or playing tug of war or just working on my training – all fun stuff I think!
I spend my days alternating between being inside and outside, playing and snoozing. My motto is to play hard but then sleep even harder!
Since I have been in care I have being around other dogs who are so much fun to play with, cuddle with and generally just be there with from an old grumpy Staffy to other breeds. My foster mum says that she is ideally looking for a home for me with either another fur sibling who will want to play and hang out with me or a family that will include me in all activities and have me regularly socialized with other dogs etc.
I am learning my basic commands
I am 90% toilet trained but being still young need this to continue in my new home.
I have a coat that does require grooming but my mum says that i also look very cute being a bit shaggy
So if you think you’re the home for me please apply – my goofy love will be endless

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
