Meet Bambi!

Bambi is a 9 month old, scruffy, sweet and playful Irish Wolfhound X girl who is looking for her forever home.

Bambi has a pure heart of gold and enjoys the company of all humans big and small and has no issues with other doggos. Bambi is quite cautious and weary of strangers and takes some warming up to. Once Bambi knows she can trust her environment and her humans/other pets, her true personality starts to shine.

Bambi has been cat tested and shows no aggression whatsoever. Bambi has not been tested with pocket pets however, we believe these pets would not be a problem.

Bambi is currently foster sibling to Rosie and they are just the best of friends.

Bambi was found as a stray with no ways of tracing back to an original owner. We are unsure of exactly what her past was like and what she was exposed to. Bambi was hesitant and nervous at first meeting her foster carer and Rosie. However, has absolutely flourished and loves being in their company.

Bambi can be very dependent at times and feels the need to be by Rosie's side at all times.

We believe Bambi would suit as a new addition to a fur family. Unfortunately we don't believe Bambi would be able to cope on her own without another dog.

Bambi came to foster care house trained and has never had a slip up. She uses the doggy door to go in and out as she pleases.

She is great to walk, her foster carers use a lead for her as she doesn't tend to pull or mess about.

Bambi can sit, shake, lay down and wait on command. She is catching on very well.

Bambi loves children. However due to her anxiety/initial caution, she can be very hesitant and scared by the loud noises and unpredictability of some younger kids. She would be best suited with children over the age of 6.

She is a simple girl, loves any type of affection and just wants to be close to you. She is very playful - loves her toys and bones.

Bambi's foster sibling Rosie is a water baby, so Bambi has been exposed to all bodies of water during her time with us. Bambi likes the water and shows a keen interest in being involved in water activities but, she is just scared. Bambi can swim and will play in lakes or small waves but needs a lot of trust to convince her in or a human to hold her while they swim. She is such a good girl to bath.

She is a gorgeous chocolate brown colour with white features. She has beautiful hazel eyes and the infamous wispy wolfhound "beard".

She is overall happy dog and always up for trying new things. Her confidence has peaked and we have seen some amazing personality changes in Bambi since her first few days/weeks in foster care.

Bambi is the perfect companion and is eagerly awaiting the day she meets her forever humans.

Bambi Overview
- She is recently desexed and fully up to date with all vaccines and worming.
- She will need secure fencing with no gaps and tall fencing to keep her secure.
- Will need walking/exercise regularly
- A human that is home regularly and does not work excessive long hours.
- Will need to have another dog as a companion
- A human committed to ongoing training and provide plenty of attention.
- To be an inside/outside dog - being allowed to sleep inside at night.

Bambi is in foster care in Rankin Park, NSW. Adoption fee is $600 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and microchipped.
