About Maui
Hi my name is Maui, I am a 9 month old red and tan Kelpie boy. I am looking for my new best friend.
I am very affectionate and eager to please my human companion. I would really love a human that I can be with most of the time. I like spending time on the couch and sleeping inside. I am friendly with other dogs, happy to play if they are. Equally, I will respect their space if they don’t want to play.
I am toilet trained and am continuing my crate training. I travel well and really enjoy going places. I will benefit from one on one training sessions with my new owner in a quiet environment. I still get a bit distracted in exciting locations but with lots of outings and exposure I know I will get better.
Maui would be best suited to a home that has experience with working dog breeds. He has typical working dog instincts that would need to be addressed e.g. chasing and herding. He is doing really well in a rural environment in foster care.
He has space and company from other dogs to use up his energy but also plenty of quiet time to relax and not get overstimulated. With someone who is interested in spending time developing a bond with their dog Maui will go a long way as he is very eager to please.
**Maui is located in NSW...
Adoption details
To apply to adopt a dog from Dogs4Jobs, you must firstly complete our adoptions application form in full at http://dogs4jobs.com.au/adoption-form/.
You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. We offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
