About Flash
Hey there, my name is Flash and I’m a 4.5 year old happy and loving red Kelpie boy. Foster Mum says I am super sweet and give the best whole body snugs!
I’m a typical active Kelpie lad and love to run and play. I have a goofy and playful demeanor and love meeting new people and get along well with other dogs. My manners are great; I know sit, drop, wait, touch, shake and to come when I’m called. I walk well on a loose lead.
I was one of the Sparkle Pups rescue and came into care extremely malnourished. I’ve gained 4kg while in foster care and am continuing to build back up my strength and muscle. Due to my severe malnourishment, I do have some joint laxity that you should be aware of, but the vet thinks with more time, good nutrition and strength, this should eventually return to normal. This doesn’t stop me from living life to the fullest!
I have good manners around food, but due to being starved for so long, I can sometimes forget them and want to snatch food from your hand or other dogs. I am not aggressive, just sometimes I’m still insecure about when my next feed might be.
I’ve been around a 2 year old human and while a bit jumpy and excitable for him, I do settle, so should be fine with kids a bit older. I travel well on the ute and am crate trained.
I’m looking for a forever family who can give me the life I deserve, with exercise, stimulation, boundaries and love. Experience with working dog breeds is a must.

Adoption details
To apply to adopt a dog from Dogs4Jobs, you must firstly complete our adoptions application form in full at http://dogs4jobs.com.au/adoption-form/.
You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. We offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
