About Craigie
ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS

- Medical Needs: Patella Luxation
Meet Craigie!
Craigie is a very smart and very busy girl. She loves to run from one end of the house to the other clutching whichever toy is her favourite that day. She loves to snuggle at night and sleep with her people. Craigie has been raised with adult cats and a small dog. She is gentle and sweet and would suit all family types including children.
When she first came to us, Craigie was diagnosed with a Grade 2 Luxating Patella, currently the only symptom is a slight clicking sensation when the legs are flexed or extended. There has been no lameness or discomfort noted.
Some animals will live with low grade patella luxation for years without any impacts on their quality of life. In other animals, the abnormal position and movement of the luxated patella over time can result in cartilage erosion, arthritis, pain, and lameness. Surgical intervention is not required at this stage. If you have any questions regarding this kittens medical needs/want more information, please don't hesitate to contact us or come into the shelter
