Profile and needs in a home
Henry is a lovely boy who wants to be your best friend.
Coming from a bit of a rough start and had little or no exposure to the outside world in his previous home so he is a bit sensitive to new sounds, especially dogs barking, but once he knows you can protect him, he settles.
Henry is doing really well in his foster home progressing more and more with each day that goes by. Henry will need someone who is kind and patient and will go slow with him and can continue to teach him that life is about love and let him be the best version of himself.
Henry thrives on companionship and connection so must go to a home with at least one younger, friendly, playful and well-adjusted dog and to a home where his new owners are not away for long periods of time.
Henry is drawn to children so would be suitable to a home with older children, provided that they were kind, gentle and respectful of animals
He very much wants to learn. His new home will need to continue his training, using force-free/positive reward-based training methods only and continue to get him out and about in the outside world whilst not overwhelming him.
Henry is learning commands; he knows how to sit before meals and will give you nice little "woo woo" before he eats. It's part of his charm. Henry is always eager to impress.
He will sleep on his bed, but he will gladly sleep in yours, so his new home will need to permit Henry to sleep in the bedroom and get up on the bed for cuddle time.
He loves bath times as he gets to zoom around the house after.
He would be ok in a home with older children provided they were kind, gentle and respectful of animals.
Henry is not suited to a home with cats or birds
