About Katia
Meet Katia – the epitome of sweetness and grace! This lovely feline is looking for a forever home with experienced cat owners who understand the nuances of her gentle and timid nature. If you've had cats before and are looking for a new feline friend, Katia might be the perfect match for you.
Katia's ideal home is one that exudes calm and tranquillity. She thrives in a quiet environment, where she can feel safe and comfortable. While she is open to meeting kids aged 8 years and up, it's important that they understand her need for a serene setting. Katia's shy and sensitive demeanour makes her best suited to a household with a relaxed atmosphere.
Although Katia's history with dogs is uncertain, the decision to introduce her to canine companions would be up to the discretion of her new owners. As for other cats, she is open to meeting them, but a slow and controlled introduction is key to ensuring a harmonious relationship.
Due to her timidity, Kati should be an indoor-only cat. Katia's energy needs are low, making her an ideal companion for those who appreciate a more laid-back feline friend. While she may not be the most playful cat when it comes to toys, she occasionally shows interest in ping pong balls, adding a touch of playfulness to her charm.
Katia has impeccable manners – she always uses her litter tray and eagerly devours her food. Treats are a special delight for her, showcasing her appreciation for those extra moments of love and care.
Though initially a bit reserved, Katia has the potential to warm up to being picked up in the right environment. She absolutely adores chin and ear scratches, and gentle pats along her back are welcomed too. While not particularly vocal, Katia enjoys exchanging gentle chats with other cats when she meets them.
Katia is a sweetheart who deserves a loving home that will allow her to blossom and come out of her shell. If you're seeking a gentle and affectionate companion for your calm and quiet abode, Katia could be the perfect addition to your family.
Post-Adoption Life: With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask if that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
Adoption details
Please remember that the pets we have available sometimes come to us with no history, so we do our very best to get to know them while they are here and to match them to your home. Sometimes animals behave differently outside of the shelter environment, so please do keep in touch after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
