Meet Twirl, the amiable guinea pig with a touch of bossiness that adds to his charm! Although initially a bit shy and nervous around new people, Twirl is searching for a family willing to invest that extra time to help him settle in and fully enjoy the company of his new human companions.
Twirl, like many guinea pigs, prefers not to be picked up and carried for extended periods, but he thrives on daily gentle handling, which goes a long way in building his confidence. Bringing him indoors is the key to making him an integral part of the family, fostering trust with humans and transforming him into a genuinely happy guinea pig.
This friendly guy has a particular love for food, whether it's hay, pellets, grains, or his favorites – fresh green vegetables like kale, silverbeet, cucumber, and cos lettuce. Guinea pigs, being wonderful pets, need ample space to run and play, along with regular human interaction once they feel secure in their environment.
It's worth noting that Twirl is not desexed, so if you're considering adding another piggy to your family, he would benefit from slow introductions, especially with another male or a desexed female, as guinea pigs are social animals. If you're ready to welcome this sweet boy into your home or looking to add another guinea pig to your family, feel free to inquire and come meet Twirl!
