About Buttercup STA011569
Buttercup is a very reserved girl who will take some time to settle and feel comfort in a new home, but her curious nature will prevail.
Buttercup has a particular liking for feather wands and laser toys, showing her playful and intrigued side. She is endlessly entertained by their unpredictable movements, providing her with a source of exercise and emulating her innate hunting instincts.
Buttercup does extremely well with other felines as she finds comfort in their presence which soothes her psyche and boosts her confidence. She would thrive in a house with another gentle cat that could be her companion and show her that life can be good with human family members.
Looking for a quiet and peaceful atmosphere, Buttercup would be best suited to a home without small children or dogs. People experienced with patient and sensitive cats would be ideal for her, as she requires a little time and endeavour to fully trust her human family.
Buttercup has an extraordinary ability to communicate her affection in her own unique way, and over time, she will begin to trust and show more of her lovely personality. With patience, love and understanding, she will reward you with the most beautiful relationship of trust and companionship.
If you would like more information about Buttercup or wish to meet her please contact our Foster Care Co-Ordinator’s -Email foster@catprotection.com.au or Phone 0400 444 734.
Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
