About Jori
Meet Jori,
Jori is a sweet kitten who’s a little shy but also a little playful! He is looking for a home with a family who is patient and kind, a family who will allow him to blossom & grow.
He grew up on the streets and didn’t have much interaction with people before coming to the facility however he learning to trust. Jori can be a little reserved at first but he has an easy-going nature which makes interacting with him a good experience for you both to bond.
Just like all kittens, Jori would love a cat tree to climb on and scratch, and an assortment of toys to play with. He should be fed kitten food multiple times a day to ensure that he grow up big and strong.
Jori has gotten used to our staff, his condo & the cattery but would really blossom in a home environment. A place that is just for him!
Jori would really love a calm and quiet household, or at least an area of the home that is just his, where he can safely retreat to when things get a bit much for him.
He should be strictly indoors. Reason for this is due to his slight timidity. Going outside may undo all the progress that he has made since coming into our care. The outside world is big & can be scary for a small kitten.
Jori is already litter trained, but it’s best to show him where the litter tray is when you get home to minimise any accidents.
If you’ve got other animals at home, that’s okay, just make sure that they have a slow & controlled introduction.
Can you open your heart and home to a sweet, playful kitty like Jori?
Post-Adoption Life: With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask if that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
Adoption details
Please remember that the pets we have available sometimes come to us with no history, so we do our very best to get to know them while they are here and to match them to your home. Sometimes animals behave differently outside of the shelter environment, so please do keep in touch after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
