About Geralt
Meet Geralt,
Geralt is a friendly kitten who would be suitable for most homes. He is pretty easy-going & loves to play & interact with the ACF staff.
Geralt is affectionate and doesn’t mind being picked up, carried, and cuddled so he would be suitable for families. He is happy to meet children of any age.
Just like all kittens, Geralt would love a cat tree to climb on and scratch, and an assortment of toys to play with. He should be fed kitten food multiple times a day to ensure that he grow up big and strong.
Geralt is already litter trained, but it’s best to show him where the litter tray is when you get home to minimise any accidents.
If you’ve got other animals at home, that’s okay, just make sure that they have a slow & controlled introduction.
Can you open your heart and home to a friendly, playful kitty like Geralt?
Recovered Flu: Cat flu is a common illness, like the human cold, that affects the upper respiratory tract of cats. Although it is not transmissible to humans, it is transmissible to other cats. In most cases, cat flu can be treated & recovered from & lived with, however flare ups can occur. Cat-flu can flare up when a cat is placed in a stressful situation such as getting desexed or going into a new home (change of environment), but it usually resolves on its own or with a short course of anti-biotics.
Recovered cat flu cats can live with other cats, it’s preferred that any existing cat has been exposed to, or had cat flu in the past, but it is not a pre-requisite.
Post-Adoption Life: With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask if that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
Adoption details
Please remember that the pets we have available sometimes come to us with no history, so we do our very best to get to know them while they are here and to match them to your home. Sometimes animals behave differently outside of the shelter environment, so please do keep in touch after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
