About Cincinnati
Are you ready to bring Cincinnati into your home and heart? If you can provide a calm and loving environment, Cincinnati is waiting to shower you with affection and make your house a home.
Whether you are experienced cat owners or embarking on the exciting journey of cat companionship for the first time, Cincinnati is eager to become a cherished member of your family.
Cincinnati is seeking a calm and quiet home where she can thrive. She is open to meeting kids aged 10 years and up. Reason for this is because older children tend to bring a softer touch and quieter atmosphere. Cincinnati thrives in a serene environment, away from chaos and loud noises.
Cincinnati is a quiet girl but incredibly affectionate and social. She enjoys being patted on her lower back, under the chin, and on the top of her head. She may not be the chattiest cat, but her love and companionship will speak volumes.
As we cannot test how she would be living with or meeting dogs, it would be up to the discretion of her new owners. While Cincinnati may feel a bit anxious meeting other cats initially, she does warm up with time.
We recommend a slow and controlled introduction to ensure a harmonious relationship with existing or new furry friends.
Due to her recent recovery from cat flu, Cincinnati is best suited for an indoor-only lifestyle. This ensures her health and well-being.
She has medium energy levels and enjoys playing with small plush toys and using her bed as a chew toy for added entertainment.
Cincinnati is not a fussy eater! She loves all kinds of cat food and has a special fondness for Greenie treats.
Cincinnati is consistently neat and tidy when it comes to her litter tray. You won't have to worry about any messes – she's got it all under control.
Recovered Flu: Cat flu is a common illness, like the human cold, that affects the upper respiratory tract of cats. Although it is not transmissible to humans, it is transmissible to other cats. In most cases, cat flu can be treated & recovered from & lived with, however flare ups can occur. Cat-flu can flare up when a cat is placed in a stressful situation such as getting desexed or going into a new home (change of environment), but it usually resolves on its own or with a short course of anti-biotics.
Recovered cat flu cats can live with other cats, it’s preferred that any existing cat has been exposed to, or had cat flu in the past, but it is not a pre-requisite.
Post-Adoption Life: With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask if that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
Adoption details
Please remember that the pets we have available sometimes come to us with no history, so we do our very best to get to know them while they are here and to match them to your home. Sometimes animals behave differently outside of the shelter environment, so please do keep in touch after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
