PLAYFUL BOY!
- Gilbert is an energetic cat who loves to play. His favourite things to do is play with string toys, ping pong balls and running through cat tunnels and boxes. He is most playful in the mornings and late afternoons, though with enough toys he can entertain himself but he prefers to have someone to play with.
- Not one for sitting on laps and head pats but loves to be in your company. Gilbert will follow you around the house and wants to sleep on the bed. He can be picked up and doesn't mind a belly or chest rub too.
- Gilbert copes well with groups of people and adapts quickly to new environments.
- Gilbert spends a lot of his day looking out of windows, watching the birds. He is content being inside and doesn't try and go outside.
- His carer’s have tested Gilbert on a cat harness. It is quite easy to put a harness on and off him and is fine walking around their backyard.
- Gilbert would be ideal for an older family with kids over the age of 10 years. He is unrated with dogs and other cats but being the friendly boy he is, he may be OK.

Our adoption process includes a two week trial period to ensure you and your adopted pet are the right fit.
The adoption fee includes desexing, vaccinations, microchip (including transfer of ownership), flea and worm treatment and vet check.
SAFE Busselton requests that all persons adopting a cat adhere to responsible containment practices. As per the current Cat Laws in WA we encourage people to keep their rescued cat as a permanent indoor cat or with access to a safe cat run. It is no longer desirable to allow your cat to wander onto adjoining properties. Confident cats can also be trained to walk on a harness and lead. We ask that owners be responsible and keep their adopted cat safe at all times so that you will have a long and loving life together. Information on cat enclosures can be found here: https://safe.org.au/catios
SAFE Busselton reserves the right to select adoptive homes based on “best fit” for the pet. Although all applications will be considered, being the first application will not necessarily provide an advantage as the adoption committee considers many factors when matching animals to their new home.
