About Otter
Otter is simply an amazing puppy! This little boy is such a happy fellow. He is confident and playful, but he is also sweet and cuddly. Otter is friendly with all the people that he meets, and he absolutely loves snuggling up on the couch with his foster family. During the day he enjoys playing with his toys and exploring the yard. It doesn’t matter what he is doing, Otter has to be one of the cutest puppies around – he is a heart melter for sure!
Otter is currently in foster care with a large adult dog. The dogs get along really well and enjoy playing together. Like any young puppy, Otter will need continued socialisation with other dogs. This should ideally be in the form of playdates with other friendly known dogs so that he can continue to have positive experiences. Otter is expected to grow to a smaller large size (possibly around 24-30kg) and have moderate energy levels. He will require daily exercise and mental stimulation to keep him happy and healthy throughout his life.
While in foster care, Otter has started his basic training. He is walking well on the lead and learning to sit and toilet outside. Otter likes his food and being food motivated means he will be able to learn new things easily. He is crate trained and sleeps there throughout the night and chills there when his carers go out for a couple of hours. Otter’s new owners will need to be committed to his ongoing training and development. He travels well in the care and will enjoy accompanying his new owners on adventures and trips.
We are looking for a dog experienced home for Otter where he will be a loved member of the family and included in the daily activities. He would be great in a home with another adult dog who is already fully trained and able to be a playmate and role model for him. Otherwise, he can live as an only dog with the appropriate transition. Either way, due to his young age, he will require someone home more often than not. He should be allowed inside the home to be with the family and will need a warm comfy bed inside to sleep on at night. He is young enough to be integrated into a home with dog savvy children and other types of pets with the appropriate training and guidance. Whoever adopts this wonderful little boy will be very lucky indeed.

This puppy will be adopted out under a desexing contract that will require the dog to be desexed by a given age. The cost of desexing will be included as part of the adoption fee. A $250 desexing bond will be payable in addition to the adoption fee and will be refunded upon proof of desexing. This process is further discussed with successful applicants.
Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
