About Balto - 12 Week Old Belgian Malinois X (Trial)
Balto is a male, Belgian Malinois cross puppy. He is smart, sassy and so eager to please, learn and grow in your family. He picks up tricks and cues quickly and with the right training has a bright future in obedience or agility ahead of him.
Balto is a very healthy little puppy who has been raised in a home environment. He has been very well socialised with other puppies and adult dogs (small and large) and gets along well with them all. He's met lots of people and is friendly and playful with them.
Balto will grow up to be a medium dog. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training. In particular, Balto being Malinois breed, you would need to have advanced dog handling experience, and an interest in pursuing obedience or agility classes
Balto is consolidating his basic commands. He has good sit, come and wait commands already He can’t wait to show you how much of a good boy he can be. He sleep in a crate and is toilet training and doing well. This will need to be continued as he is still so young.
It would be a big plus if you have a friendly adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate for Balto. If you don't have another dog to keep him company, then there needs to be someone in the household that doesn't work full time.
Balto needs to be welcome inside when people are home, and to sleep inside. He will be wonderful family dog and is suitable for children experienced with dogs, or 12 years and older. You need good high fencing with no small gaps. The Malinois are known for their agility skills. He can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).
Balto’s adoption fee is $700 which includes his desexing when he is old enough. It also includes his first two vaccinations. He has been treated for fleas and worms, and is microchipped.
Balto is in foster care in Belmont North NSW. Since he is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. He'll need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when he's 5 to 6 months old.
To apply to meet Balto, please fill out our Adoption Questionnaire https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt. If you have any questions, you can send an email to DRN.lizzy@gmail.com
