About Doug
Doug is a loving, 6 year-old Dalmatian whose family situation has dramatically changed and now needs to find another home.
He is a very cuddly boy that tends to get anxious when left alone as he wants to be by your side.
He just loves to be inside the home with you so would suit a home where he can live inside with the family and where someone is home more often than not.
Doug has always shared his home with another dog and loves children of all ages.
Doug would benefit from some lead training as he can pull on walks 🐾. Learning a structure walk may also help with his anxiety.
He loves his toys, although can be a bit rough on them 😆.
Doug is not a great traveller in the car (tends to bark and whine).
Overall, Doug needs a patient family that is willing to help him work through his anxiety
He is not tested with cats 🐈❌.
Adoption details
We list animals for adoption on Pet Rescue as well as on our own Animals-in-Need-Brisbane website. We talk with people who contact about an animal to see what their needs and situation are. Our emphasis is on getting the right animal for the people and the right people for the animal. If everyone's needs are met things usually work out well.
If the situation sounds good we arrange a meeting. If all goes well we let people try the animal out for a couple of weeks to ensure that everyone is happy.
We keep records of all adopters, follow up to ensure all is well and undertake to take back any animal if circumstances change.
