Hey there, lovely humans! I'm Buttons, and as my name suggests, I'm cuter than a basket of kittens. Picture this: a petite panther with a heart as big as my adorableness.
I'm on the prowl for a place to call home, where I can unleash my cuteness on an unsuspecting world. Sisters in tow? Perfect! A friendly feline roommate? Sounds good to me! Or, if you're looking for a one-and-only feline sensation, I'm your girl. I've got versatility like a cat with a bag of tricks.
When I'm not plotting world domination, you can find me scaling the heights of the cat tower. I'm all about that sun-soaked snooze life, surveying my kingdom from on high. Oh, did I mention I'm a daredevil in disguise? The cat tower doubles as my launchpad, and your shoulder becomes my VIP perch. Let's get up close and purrsonal—I've got a soft spot for sniffing ears. It's my way of saying, "Hey, you smell pretty awesome!"

WORLDWIDE CAT VACCINE SHORTAGE
There is currently a worldwide shortage of cat vaccines and supplies are unlikely to be replenished until early 2024. This is due to complicated supply problems post-COVID. Our vets have limited, and in some cases no supplies available, but are prioritising kittens and previously unvaccinated Cats wherever possible.
Kittens are at the highest risk as their level of protection is very low after the initial protection provided by the mother’s antibodies. While protection will wane a little over time, a delay up to three months is unlikely to result in a significant reduction in levels of protection. It is anticipated that clinics should have regular supplies early in the new year to bring your cat back up to date.
First Vaccination completed
We will try to provide at least 1 vaccination, depending on our supplies of vaccines available, however boosters may become overdue. In this case it is your responsibility to contact your vet as soon as supplies become available. We will not be re-imbursing any of this costs.
We require all cats and kittens to be indoors only and not allowed outside. This is especially important now as there is a risk of coming into contact with unknown cats who may not be vaccinated.

Where we are unable to provide any vaccination during their time in care with us, please contact us on 0459779888 or via email to samantha@neko.org.au, and we will arrange for one vaccination to be done at one of our partnering clinics as soon as supplies are available. Boosters after this will be your responsibility.
