About Bruce
PLEASE NOTE THAT UNFORTUNATELY WE ARE UNABLE TO FLY OUR ANIMALS EITHER WITHIN WA OR INTERSTATE
NAME: Bruce
BEFORE RESCUE: Came to SAFE Esperance as an unclaimed stray.
BREED: Mixed breed – we guess that he has some terrier in his mix due to the shape and shortness of his legs and possibly some Kelpie with his markings.
***************************************************************
ASSETS: He’s active, easy-going, affectionate, devoted, eager to please, friendly, obedient and playful! Bruce has a beautiful nature and has settled well into foster care.
FAVOURITE THINGS: Being a puppy Bruce loves to play! He enjoys playing with any toys he can get and loves to play chasey round the garden with the other dogs in his foster home. He enjoys being near his people and will make the most of any opportunity for cuddle time. He has a very active mind and loves to be kept busy.
ENDEARING FEATURES: He has a loyal and loving nature and is very sweet, as well as very cute!
OTHER ANIMALS: He gets on really well with other dogs whether they are resident or new friends he makes on his walks and he is being fostered with both big and small dogs with no issues. He lives on a property with chickens and cows - he is supervised around them but has shown no interest. He is untested with cats so we would prefer a cat free home for him.
GENERAL INFO: Bruce walks well on his lead and is fully housetrained. He barks at strange noises, or when someone comes to the door. He doesn’t like to be around loud noises or storms and will chew things if left for long periods of time, just a typical pup. He knows a few commands already and is a clever cookie so training should be a breeze with him. He travels well in the car and enjoys getting out and seeing new things.
ESSENTIALS for Bruce:
** An active, loving home with someone who can be there with him for most of the day or can take him with them when they leave the house.
** An owner who will dedicate time to training him and take him to classes where he can socialize and learn new things in a safe environment.
** He’s an active boy so will need daily exercise, playtime and mental activity. An active home that is willing to involve him in daily activities is essential for him.
** Bruce needs a fenced, secure yard with grass and interesting things to sniff and explore.
**Bruce loves to be with his people so he needs to be allowed inside the home when you are there and to sleep inside at night, preferably as close to his people as possible!
Bruce would best suit a home with older children (10+) who will be able to read his signals, or an adult only home. He would love another dog with a similar energy level to live and play with or have regular interaction/playtime with other dogs.
If Bruce sounds like the perfect fit for your family, please send an enquiry and we’ll be in touch soon.
