About Pretty Lady - 11 Week Old Dachshund X (Trial)
Pretty Lady is a 9 week old mixed breed pup. Although she’s the smallest of her litter she is full of personality and spunk. She has the biggest puppy dog eyes that will melt you every single time, but she makes sure she’s not left behind or bossed around by her bigger litter mates.
Obviously being a puppy she is very inquisitive and loves to play. After playtime she loves to snuggle beside you.
Pretty Lady is a very healthy little puppy who has been raised in a home environment with two young children, a resident indoor cat and her litter mates. She has been very well socialised with other puppies and adult dogs (small and large) and gets along well with them all. She has met lots of people and is friendly and affectionate with them.
Pretty Lady will grow up to be a medium dog. Her mother is a Wolfhound X and her father is possibly a Dachshund, she has short little legs and her body is long.
Pretty Lady is a smart girl - she is progressing well with toilet training and sleeps happily in a crate, where she also enjoys naps. She can use a doggy door to access the backyard. She is very quick to work things out.
We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
It would be a big plus if you have a friendly adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate. If you don't have another dog for company, then there needs to be someone in the household that doesn't work full time.
She needs to be welcome inside when people are home, and to sleep inside at least until fully grown.
She will be a wonderful family dog and is suitable for children 8 years and older. You need good fencing with no small gaps. She can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).
Pretty Lady has 6 siblings - Chief, Tonka, Sarg, Bear, Peyton and Harper that are also available for adoption.
Adoption fee is $700 which includes desexing when they are old enough. It also includes their first two vaccinations. They have been treated for fleas and worms, and are microchipped.
They are in foster care in Newcastle, NSW. Since not yet desexed, they are only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. They will need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when 5 to 6 months old.
