About Tonka - 11 Week Old Dachshund X (Trial)
Tonka is beautiful little boy who stands out from the rest of the litter with his beautiful colours.
Tonka is a typical pup is full of energy and then the next second is flat on his back snoring his cute little face off. Tonka has such a beautiful and playful nature. He has been raised with young kids and is always by their side interested in what they are up to. He also enjoys quietly exploring his environment on his own and comes bouncing back when he hears you call. He is a very gentle little boy and loves pigs ears and bones
They are a very healthy little puppy who has been raised in a home environment with two young children, a resident indoor cat and her litter mates. They have been very well socialised with other puppies and adult dogs (small and large) and get along well with them all. They have met lots of people and are friendly and affectionate with them.
Tonka will grow up to be a medium dog. His mother is a Wolfhound X and his father is possibly a Dachshund, he has short little legs and his body is long.
We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
It would be a big plus if you have a friendly adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate. If you don't have another dog for company, then there needs to be someone in the household that doesn't work full time.
They need to be welcome inside when people are home, and to sleep inside at least until fully grown. They will be a wonderful family dog and is suitable for children 8 years and older. You need good fencing with no small gaps. They can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).
Tonka has 6 siblings - Chief, Sarge, Bear, Pretty lady, Peyton and Harper that are also available for adoption.
Adoption fee is $700 which includes desexing when they are old enough. It also includes their first two vaccinations. They have been treated for fleas and worms, and are microchipped.
They are in foster care in Newcastle, NSW. Since not yet desexed, they are only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. They will need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when 5 to 6 months old.
