About Leni
Introducing Leni (pronounced Lenny)!
Leni is a Miniature Fox Terrier born 22nd April 2023.
Unfortunately Leni was surrendered to the facility as his owner is going into a nursing home & is unable to continue his care. Leni appears to be very well looked after & was clearly a very loved member of the family. Leni was & is a lap dog and will do anything he can to cuddle into you. Since being at the facility Leni has been quite timid, so we are recommending a home with children over 12yrs (or no children), as they may be too overwhelming for him while he settles into his new environment.
Leni was scared of other dogs & cats. He refused to look at or go near them and his tail stayed firmly between his legs the whole time. For this reason we are recommending he be the only animal at home.
As Leni's owners were older, they were home with him most of the time which means he has shown definite signs of separation anxiety since being with us. As a result of this, he will need an owner who can either take him to work with them, be retired, work from home or have someone at home with him the majority of the time.
While this may settle with time & training, it may also be a long-term issue.
Leni will thrive in an environment that guides him with positive direction and lots of love and attention.
Leni is an energetic boy who will need mental & physical stimulation.
Leni's adoption fee is $800 and includes his desexing and lifetime registration.
Leni is also regularly treated for flea and worms and is up to date with his vaccinations for his age.
To enquire more or to meet Leni, please call 0499 900 272 or email ccacfpetadoptions@gmail.com and speak to one of our friendly staff.
Leni is looking forward to meeting you and he is currently located in East Maitland.
Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
