About Bliss
Introducing Bliss!
Bliss is an Alaskan Malamute born 17th October 2017.
Bliss was found in Paxton bush and brought to the facility as a stray. She was still microchipped to the breeder who advised us that the person they rehomed her to, no longer wanted her so they surrendered to us for rehoming. We believe Bliss to have been bred several times before coming into us.
Since being at the facility Bliss has been an absolute delight. She's quiet, affectionate and an all-round sweetheart. We believe she has had some form of training as she's very good on lead & sits on command.
Bliss tested well with other dogs (male, female, large & small). She was very gentle, sniffed, then moved on. She wasn't overly interested in them, but she didn't avoid them either.
She would be suitable to live with other dogs, or be a spoilt "only child". If you have a friendly dog at home we will need to do a meet & greet with them to ensure they get along before going home.
Bliss was completely unfazed by the cats & kittens reaching out to her/the occasional hiss so we believe that with a slow & controlled introduction she could be suitable to live with cats. *Please note that our dogs are tested with cats through a cage. Their reaction may differ if they have a cat running freely in front of them.
Bliss is untested with pocket pets at this time.
Bliss has shown no signs of food aggression or separation anxiety while being at the facility.
Bliss would thrive in a home where she is included as a part of the family & where she can continue her training which she clearly enjoys.
Bliss' adoption fee is $450 and includes her desexing and lifetime registration.
Bliss has been treated for flea and worms and is up to date with her vaccinations.

Bliss is looking forward to meeting you and she is currently located in East Maitland.
Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
