About Marley
Marley is a sweet, affectionate and energetic girl who’s favourite thing to do is chase birds.
She loves fuss and attention but is also happy to chill and nap especially after a run around! She loves being around people but can be a little anxious at times so would prefer a more quiet and relaxed setting. I
Marley can be very vocal (as Kelpies tend to be!) especially in the park or at the beach when she gets excited but it’s always a happy bark and never aggressive! She also like chasing balls but haven’t quite mastered the meaning of “fetch” just yet.... but who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks!
MY IDEAL HOME: I'm a country girl so living in the city has been a big change for me. Whilst I am starting to get more used to the smells and noises, I would prefer to live somewhere a little quieter and less busy with a big garden or space to run around. I love company, but can be left alone for a few hours at a time as long as I get lots of exercise. I can be anxious so I just need some love and patience whilst I get used to my new surroundings.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Despite my age, I have lots of energy hence why I would love to live somewhere with a garden or big outdoor area. I love going for walks or to the beach and running around otherwise I can get a little antsy.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I'm likely best in a home without small children but older children should be ok. Noting that I previously lived with an elderly lady and haven't lived with children before so the hustle and bustle of kids might be a little much for me.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: On the whole, I love other dogs and always run up to them in the park for a sniff. I haven’t lived with other dogs before so it might take some getting used to, but providing there is plenty of space I think this would be ok, likely a dog of similar personality to mine would be preferred. I would prefer not to live with a cat.

We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form.
For Cats: https://form.jotform.co/92940837256870
For Dogs: https://form.jotform.co/80677377750872
Please use these links rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
