About Wilson
What do you get when you cross a Great Dane with an Irish Wolfhound with an Australian Cattle Dog with a Staffordshire Bull Terrier - you get WILSON!
Or, put another way, you get 40kg of Love Bug!
Wilson is one year old and hasn't realised how big he has become! This big, beautiful, bouncy boy would love to be the centre of your universe as well as your lap dog.
Wilson has a huge heart, so much love to give & knows that life is all about having fun!! Wilson loves his toys & parades them around to show everyone the treasures that he has. He also loves his paddling pool, so a home for Wilson needs heaps of toys, water & love.
Despite his size & generally bouncy nature (think Tigger!), Wilson walks really nicely on his harness & thoroughly enjoys his off-site walks. He also gets along really well with other dogs - although little dogs might be at risk from being unintentionally trodden on.
Wilson would really benefit from ongoing positive reinforcement training. Unfortunately, in the past, he was subjected to some less than favourable training techniques. Therefore, he needs people to show him that we are kind, understanding, patient & fun.
Wilson will make a fantastic member of the family. He is toilet trained, will go to his bed when asked, takes treats gently from your hand & is just so very handsome!
Please take his size into consideration when thinking about adoption. He is a bouncy adolescent & needs guidance & NOT punishment to show him the way we would like him to behave. Aversive training techniques have no place in creating an awesome bond with our dogs. A bond that is formed through trust, kindness & love.
Come in & meet our gigantic love bug Wilson today!
