Ambrose is 85% a good boy, 15% needs some refining. He is still learning what it means to be in a loving home and to get attention, his excitement often overwhelms him and he will try to express it in unwanted ways. He requires a firm but kind adult only home to help set boundaries in place in a positive manner. Generally he is a very happy and sweet boy who just loves having his ball thrown, rolling in the grass, going on sniffari's and receiving lots of cuddles.

His good points -
Ambrose is used to his own company so can be left to his own devices.
He is super sweet and adores a belly rub.
He enjoys his walks with a halti and ignores anyone else out and about.
Running your fingers through his golden curly locks and giving ear rubs is extremely therapeutic.
He is excited for car rides but does settle, he makes a great backseat driver.
Happy to say hello to other dogs when out walking so long as they aren't in his face about it.
Ignores the resident cats, but would still be happiest being your one and only.
Will chase his ball all day if you allow it, but only when in the backyard.
He is always so super happy to see you.

His improvement points -
Ambrose is still learning house manners, he can use a dog door but sometimes forgets to use it for toileting. He has clearly lived his life outside so inside is still very exciting.
Being calm is not quite in his dictionary, he just craves attention when it is available and it bursts out in love wriggles.
Past traumas see him get defensive if triggered, he is fearful he is going to be hurt so goes into protection mode. He has been receiving deconditioning training for this and will need to continue.

Overall he is a wonderful companion and is a bucketful of laughs. He thinks he is a lapdog, but at a wriggly 19kg he would be best suited to a strong lap. Ambrose loves his treats which has been really helpful with training.
