About Lia
*In foster care in MARRICKVILLE, Sydney*
Lia is an older girl who loves to sit in the window and watch the world go by. She was surrendered when her owners could no longer care for her and she's been a delight in foster care. Lia likes to greet visitors and sit on their knee if she takes a fancy to them. She's affectionate on her terms and does like to be around her people. If she feels overwhelmed she tends to take herself for a break somewhere quiet.
Lia has a sweet face that sometimes looks a bit cross, but don't let that fool you - she's a really sweetie at heart and would thrive in a quieter home.
She is great with people but would prefer to be the only cat at her new home. Could you give Lia her retirement?
Like all Maggie's pets, Lia is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: I'm content doing my own thing, but I'd definitely thrive in a home with a single person or couple or family with older children who's there to give me lots of love and affection! And because I'm so curious and inquisitive, a home with lots of nooks and crannies for me to (safely) explore would be amazing.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Low. Lia likes to watch the world go by in a sunny window but doesn't do much playing these days.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Teenage children would probably be fine.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: Lia would prefer to be the only cat in the home. She hasn't lived with dogs before.

We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at https://form.jotform.co/92940837256870. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
