Babygirl is a lady who proves that great things take time. While she is very shy when meeting new people and in new environments, once comfortable, she blossoms into a loving and affectionate companion. Babygirl is a special senior who will benefit greatly from a patient owner willing to give her the time to open up and show her true affectionate and loving nature.
This sweetie truly enjoys the simpler things in life. You can always find her sitting next to her favourite human on the couch or happily spending time in her own company. She's more of an introverted lady, which adds to her enchanting and independent personality.
Safety is a priority for Babygirl, and she's never been a free-roaming cat and she is FIV+. To ensure her well-being, she must remain an indoor cat in her new home. Her future residence needs to be a quiet, calm environment, ideally without young children or dogs that may startle her.
In essence, Babygirl's ideal home would be serene and peaceful, allowing her the space and time she needs to become comfortable and show off her affectionate side. This lovely lady would be the perfect companion for someone seeking a quiet, loving, and independent feline family member.
Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
