About Styx
Styx is a beautiful 1.5 year old male red & tan kelpie. He is a smoochy boy who loves his humans.
Since coming into care Styx has quickly gained confidence. He enjoys a rough and tumble with the resident young female kelpie and has assimilated into suburban life very well. He is toilet trained, is learning to use a dog door and will sit and wait for his dinner patiently. Styx is currently learning some tricks and is very obedient when he knows something yummy is involved. He travels great in the car and walks reasonably well on the lead but does pull when excited. Styx is still young and will benefit from further training.
In the home Styx is a very calm and relaxed dog who will happily chill out all day on his bed (or on the couch with you if you will let him). Styx isn't a super high energy kelpie and will likely be happy with a walk or two a day. Styx is very person focused and he warms up to new people quickly, seeking you out for cuddles and a good ear scratch.
Styx would suit a home with people that are around most of the time and want to take him with them on their adventures. He would also suit an only dog home or one with a calm and confident dog who will respect his boundaries. Styx has not been tested with cats or young children.
Styx is located in VIC.

You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au

We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa.
