About Pickle STA011945
Meet Pickle, a unique sweetheart with an irresistibly adorable character. This guy may start off as shy, but beneath that initial façade is a world of curiosity and affection waiting to unfold.
While Pickle is hesitant at first when meeting new people or exploring unfamiliar places, his curious heart won't resist exploring new territory for long. You will encounter a hiss or two, but that's just Pickle's way of keeping a protective bubble until he gets to know you. Once he settles, he adores a gentle pat and might surprise you with an unexpected purr.
Despite his initial reactions, Pickle deeply longs for adventures and mountaintop vantage points from where he can survey his domain in peace. He'll often appear conflicted at first, wanting to explore but also too cautious. However, once he has had a chance to adjust to his surroundings, his inherent curiosity comes to life.
The key to helping Pickle feel comfortable is the assurance of a quiet, calming environment. He would greatly benefit from a peaceful home where he can safely indulge his curiosity without being startled. As he adjusts, his distinctly loving and affectionate nature will shine through, making every moment with him a memorable and rewarding experience.
Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
