Bertie

Bertie is a ball of fun from the moment he wakes up he will follow you around and be by your side for snuggles. He loves his toys, especially his chicken often wondering around with it hanging from his mouth. Whilst food motivated he can be a little fussy, most unlike a pug.

He is quick to learn, finding the food cupboard on day one. He understands basic commands but is very much a work in progress (aren't we all) and his forever family will need to be patient and have a sense of humour.

He is great on the lead but everything has to be sniffed so walks are more a casual stroll than a fast paced jaunt. He draws 'fans' wherever he goes and isn't afraid to ham it up for attention, perhaps it's his unique set of teeth or his wildly excitable eyes, whatever the case, Bertie isn't shy of attention!

MY IDEAL HOME: Bertie is looking for a family that don't mind pug snorts and sneezes, his new humans will need to be around more often than not but provided they like a laugh, his needs are simple. He has been known to hoard items in his bat cave aka the crate and is generally on the cheeky side of the scale albeit always fun.

MY ENERGY LEVEL: Bertie is either full speed ahead or sleeping! He isn't adverse to a belly rub and loves a good game and a daily adventure.

MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Bertie has only met a few children, he's okay but can be a little bit mouthy so is best with kids, 8 and up.

MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: Untested living with cats but is non reactive with the street cat Fluffy. Good with other small dogs but larger ones are on a case by case basis.
