About Hawk
Meet Hawk. If you were to describe him in one word it would exuberant. He is an affectionate and enthusiastic goofball of a puppy with plenty of energy for play and to be your adventure buddy.
He has embraced new activities like playing in the pond, paddling pool or with the hose, loves offlead runs and would happily adapt to joining in other active adventures like being your running or bushwalking buddy!
Hawk will need a home where people are home frequently, include him in the family outings and adventures and can use training and enrichment to build on him spending longer periods of time alone.
He will need approx a 6ft fence as he can jump out if he gets anxious, although is getting better with this.
Hawk doesnt always realise his size (things like enthusiastically jumping to greet you before he remembers to sit if he wants pats) so he will need ongoing postive training to make sure he grows in to the best behaved young man he can be.
Hawk will need a home committed to taking him to puppy school and is suited to children over 6 who can get involved in playing and training there new eager family member.
He is already practising waiting at doors before entering (he is motivated by food or affection) and a quick learner so quickly realised going to his bed/mat is rewarded with snacks and is the place to be.
While hawk is crate trained he would also happily sleep on your bed at night as he loves a cuddle and snuggle.
Hawk has not had a lot of stability in his short life, coming from a rural pound and into foster care so while he loves to play with other dogs, if he joins a family with another dog when it comes to food and pats he will benefit from learning there is plenty of love to go around as he he can be a bit bossy in hogging the humans attention from his canine companions.
Being a puppy still teething and he loves a good cow hoof, soft horn or toy to chew on!
So if your looking for an active adventures pal by day and a cuddler by night Hawk cant wait to meet you and find his forever home!
