About Dixie & Allie
Introducing Dixie & Allie!
Dixie is a Cattle Dog x born approx 11th December 2019.
Allie is a Staffy x born 30th November 2019.
Both girls were brought into the facility as strays. Allie was microchipped but the details were out of date & Dixie wasn't microchipped. Unfortunately no one came to collect them. The girls were found together & it was very clear from the get go that they were bonded. We put them in separate kennels & they immediately started crying & trying to get to each other.
Allie is a very calm & gentle girl. Even when she climbs on your lap she does it slowly & gives very gentle kisses. She shoves her head into your chest so she is as close as possible to you.
Dixie is a bit more excitable than Allie but she is still very affectionate & tries to cuddle you.. she's maybe a bit more "less gentle" in her approach.
Both girls tested well with other dogs & cats. They do prefer calm male dogs, so they would be suitable to live with another calm male, or be the spoilt "only children". If you have a calm, friendly male dog at home we will need to do a meet & greet with them to ensure they get along before going home.
Both girls are untested with pocket pets at this time.
Dixie & Allie have shown no signs of food aggression or separation anxiety while being at the facility. They are fed together with no issues. If they are separated from each other they do have anxiety but as long as they are kept together they are happy.
Dixie & Allie would thrive in a home where they are included as a part of the family.
Their adoption fee is $600 and includes their desexing and lifetime registration.
They have both been treated for flea and worms and are up to date with their vaccinations.

Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
