About Barry
*In foster care in Lewisham, Sydney*
On the smaller side, Bazza is a little bundle of joy that will bring a smile to your face. He will greet you in the morning affectionately with head rubs and tiny meows, getting underfoot, super excited for... well, his breakfast! This little guy just loves meal time. He will trot over extra bouncily if he even thinks there may be a chance of snacks. Baz purrs loudly the whole time he eats (it's very cute) and he often licks the plate clean.
Secondary to food, Baz's other love in life is playing. Do not let his tiny body fool you, he can throw down just as good as his bigger brother. He has a lot of energy and spends it running, pouncing, and wrestling. Three or four play sessions a day romping to his heart's content makes him happy and fulfilled. The rest of the day he's basically conked out and will fall asleep in cute little poses: curled up in a basket, on his back with his paws in the air, or with his head slowly falling off the edge of the coffee table.
Barry has a playful, carefree nature and is full of life and optimism. While he is easy to pick up to handle, he finds it hard to sit still and is a bit of a squirmy boy... unless you have snacks for him, in which case he'll be happy to oblige. He would suit another kitten or cat friend as he's so energetic, otherwise will need lots of interactive play to keep him entertained. He is also available to adopt with his brother, Charlie: https://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/1013282. The two are currently being fostered together.
Baz would suit most homes looking for a young kitten with antics that will make the whole family laugh. He was rescued alongside seven other littermates and has adjusted well to the indoor life. He is good at using the litterbox and is neat and tidy, with a low-maintenance short coat and tuxedo markings. As with all young kittens, he will need continued love and guidance as he grows to be the best cat he can be.
Like all Maggie's pets, Barry is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: I'm a fairly flexible fellow, I'd do well in a range of different homes - so long as you've got a good feed for me, you'll win my love! I do think that having another playmate would benefit me.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: High! I'm easily excited and like a typical kitten and I am go-go-go until I am zzz-zzz-zzz.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Older kids would be okay, but if you have younger children, please be understanding that I'm still learning about claws and can get carried away while I'm running around. I'm not bitey at all, but I can leave small kitty clawmarks in my wake.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I get on fine with cats and would love a playmate. I haven't had the chance to meet any dogs yet... buuut I think I might be a bit unsure at first but then be okay with it.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
