About Burt
Here is the adorable Burt!
Burt is a young, energetic pup, who is looking for a family to adopt him so he can grow old with them!
After Burt has settled into his new adoption home and is fully vaccinated, it is important he has plenty of opportunities for socialisation, as well as exposure to different people, objects and environments. His new family will also need to be committed to positive reinforcement training, to teach him the skills and confidence he needs to become a happy, well-adjusted dog as he grows older. We recommend enrolling Burt in puppy preschool classes (we offer them here through Pet Squad!) where you'll get great advice, as well as an opportunity to socialise him.
If you currently already have another dog at home, please bring them to the shelter for the meet and greet too. Burt is also suitable to go to a home with children of all ages, so please make sure you bring them along to the meet and greet!
A puppy is a HUGE responsibility but can be one of the most rewarding experiences in life. The bond you have with Burt begins the moment he comes into your life and never stops growing. You need to be patient and consistent, and be prepared to journey through the learning curve of his younger years together!
Burt's waggy tail, little happy leaps and zest for life will bring so much joy into your world. Please come meet him today at our North Melbourne shelter.
