About Ollie
Please meet Ollie, completely stunning 5 year old male Spoodle located in Melbourne. He will only be available to families in Victoria or who can drive to collect him. He will not be flown. I am taking applications for his adoption and/or Foster Carer. He has been surrendered due to a significant change in his owners circumstances. Here is some information about him:
Ollie is a 20kg Spoodle male. He is supper affectionate and will make for an excellent close companion pet. He adores his humans and loves to cuddle on the lounge. He just wants to be with you. If you work from home he will be happy to sit at your feet and then follow you around for the rest of the day.
He is toilet trained and well behaved in the home and has never shown any destructive behaviour(doesn’t chew furniture, bedding or dig). He is good with Men, Women and primary aged kids (he is unsure around very young kids but not aggressive).
He has basic obedience training and will sit, drop, roll over, stay. He walks well on the lead. He is good to groom and good at the Vets. He doesn’t suffer from separation anxiety so is OK when left alone.
Ollie has just been Vaccinated so is not due until December next year. He had a full health check and is in very good health. A report from the Vet is available to applicants.
This boy has a few behavioral challenges as follows:
Needs to be the only dog in the home as he doesn’t like sharing his space with other pets. He is currently in a two dog household and has been showing increasing aggression towards the other dog to the point where they now have to be kept separate unless out on a walk together. As a result he will only be rehomed or fostered in a single dog home.
When out on a walk he can get anxious if forced to meet strange dogs and will growl/get reactive if they approach. He is usually fine when walking past other dogs on the street if they ignore him. This boy will be best suited to be exercised in environments where he is not forced to meet/closely interact with lots of dogs, such as kept on lead and walked on footpaths or on acreage/bushland. He has never bitten another dog on a walk.
He can guard his food so children should not try to take food out of his mouth.
In summary this is a well behaved, sweet and affectionate boy who will be a wonderful loving companion in the right environment. If you can offer this boy an awesome future, please answer the questions below and email them to re.grant@yahoo.com.au. Feel free to call me on 0411069622 if you have a some questions about his suitability.

I look forward to receiving your application. Here is a description of the Adoption process after applications are received:
1. After carefully reviewing applications, I will make a shortlist of 2-3 applicants who best match the dogs needs. Only these applicants will be contacted for further information. I often receive numerous applications for any one dog(especially if it’s young and healthy) so contacting everyone is just not viable.
2. Those shortlisted applicants will then be contacted no later than two weeks from the date of application. If you have not been contacted by the two week mark, then assume that you have not been shortlisted.
3. Shortlisted applicants will be asked to provide a Vet and Grooming reference. This means that with the applicants permission I will contact their Vet and Groomer(if they have used one) to see how well they have looked after any current or past dogs.
4. I then conduct viewings with the few applicants that have excellent references to see if they like the dog and visa versa. This is usually around 1-3 potential families.
5. Once I have chosen an applicant, I conduct a “Fence Check” to ensure that the property is secure. If both parties are comfortable to proceed then adoption takes place. There is a two week trial period where adoptive parents can return the dog and receive a full refund if it doesn’t work out.
6. Milo will be adopted with the following : Current Vaccination Certificate, Sterilisation Certificate, Microchip Details. Adoption fee is $675
7. My adoption process is very thorough as I am committed to finding the very best home that suits each dogs needs and quirks. Rest assured I’m doing the very best I can to make excellent decisions. If you miss out on a dog, I keep all applications in the hope that another suitable dog will become available soon.
This process may seem like over kill, but many surrendered dogs have often come from a less than ideal situation, and it’s my responsibility to do everything in my power to ensure that their future is absolutely fantastic!!!
Have a great day
