About Vada
Meet Vada, the 10-year-old border collie with a kind, gentle nature, looking for his retirement home.
This love bug adores people, pats and belly rubs. Vada loves the game fetch and lights up when the ball comes out. Given Vada's age, he has a great offswitch.
Vada is well mannered, and polite around other dogs, although would prefer a home with more mature, calm dogs or a single dog home to enjoy the comforts of his retirement. Vada can be a little protective of his ball and food around other dogs, so finding a home that understands this is important. He sits well for his dinner however is working on gently taking food from your hand.
Vada is very comfortable being outside on his own, during the day and currently prefers sleeping outside at night. Vada is still getting comfortable coming inside the house and will usually stand by your side seeking any extra pats that may come his way. Vada walks mostly well on lead, sleeps perfectly overnight, and travels really well in the car (in fact, he loves going for rides in the car and will happily jump in if you open the car door).
Vada would also prefer a calmer home with older or no children.
If you love throwing the ball and would love an easy going, loving companion, Vada is the guy for you.
Vada is located in VIC.

Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa.
