Are you ready to welcome Marley into your heart and home? She's eagerly waiting for her forever family, and with your love and care, she'll become the perfect companion for life.
About: Marley is a special girl with a unique personality. She's friendly, affectionate, and curious, making her an ideal companion for anyone looking to add a furry friend to their home.
Ideal Home: Whether your household is bustling with activity or enjoys a calm and quiet atmosphere, Marley is adaptable to any lifestyle. She's suitable for families, couples, or individuals, and her affectionate nature will make her a beloved member of your home.
Marley enjoys both indoor and outdoor environments, but she leans towards the cozy side. A yard of any size will make her happy, as long as it's securely fenced to keep her safe during her outdoor adventures.
Family: Marley is open to meeting kids aged 10 years and up. Reason for this is because she loves to shower everyone with kisses & will jump up to do so. This excitement jump may knock small children over, although she doesn’t mean to do it.
We do know that Marley lives with small children in her previous home, so she is used to them being around her.
She is suitable for part-time workers or people who work from home.
Furry Friends: Marley is at her best as the only dog in the home. She's not a fan of canine companions and prefers to be the centre of attention. Rest assured, with Marley as your only pet, you'll have her undivided love & attention.
Due to her high prey drive she is unsuitable to be rehomed into an environment where there are cats or pocket pets.
Work: Marley is a quick learner who already knows her name, & “sit” and “down” commands. While she's a sweet and friendly girl, she could benefit from post-adoption training to enhance her calmness around people.
Training would be with a professional or at home. Marley is also treat motivated & is willing to work for them.
We always recommend post-adoption training whether it be at home or with a professional. Training doesn’t have to be a chore – it can be a fun experience for you both, it doesn’t have to take long & is a great way for you to bond with your new pal.
Play: For active individuals or families, Marley is the perfect exercise companion. She thrives on daily walks and activities, requiring approximately 20-60 minutes of exercise per day. Whether you're a fitness enthusiast or enjoy leisurely strolls, Marley is ready to join you.
When it comes to walks, Marley tends to pull because she LOVES to be out exploring, we recommend using a martingale for added comfort & control. Our knowledgeable staff is available to assist you with any questions or concerns about this simple and effective walking accessory.
Marley prefers human interaction over toys.
Post-Adoption Life: With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as seamless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories - most are left in the shelter by their owners. The information we have is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks may surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
