About Jemma
Jemma is a very sweet and quiet British Bulldog. She is a happy girl who has requested a loving home that includes cheese and a human that accidentally drops food. She is not overly keen on stairs so would prefer minimal steps or a human who would like to pick up her up. She will climb them under protest if cheese is involved however- it’s not that she can’t, she just doesn’t want to.
She gets along very well with other dogs, cats, children and people. So far we are having trouble finding fault with her- shes darn near perfect.
Medical notes
Jemma appears very healthy and has passed all of her vet checks
She has had 5/5 boas surgery
She is a brachycephalic breed. All suffer from BOAS in some way, either minor or severe. They are always at risk of boas ( brachycephalic obstructive airway syndrome)becoming clinical- creating difficulty breathing. This is still a risk even after 5/5 boas surgery. We expect you to have a complete understanding of the condition and discuss the potential surgical, environmental and medical modifications you may have to do for this condition with your vet before you apply for this dog. It is also a excellent idea to take advantage of the trial period to have your vet check over the dog and give you more pointers on this breed related issue and the expectations for their care and management.
