About Romeo STA011828
Meet Romeo, aptly named for his sweet demeanor and loving heart. But don't let the name fool you, Romeo shows his love in his own special way and on his own timetable.
Romeo is a guy who appreciates his privacy. He's a little shy when meeting new people and exploring unfamiliar territories, so he'll need an understanding human who can let him adjust at his own pace. With a little time and patience, his well-disguised affectionate nature will begin to shine.
Once he's comfortable and settled into his new environment, Romeo knows how to charm. He does have a soft spot for his treats, and bribing him with a few could go a long way in winning him over. Once he feels confident with you, he reveals his true character: a warm, loving friend who enriches your life and rewards your patience with deep devotion.
Romeo will thrive best in a quiet and experienced home that can provide him with the calm and stable environment he needs to relax. To allow his lovable spirit to blossom, it's recommended that he'd be happiest as an only four legged family member in a household with no children or boisterous dogs.
Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
