About Sheldon
Introducing Sheldon, a 1-year-old male Dachshund. This little pup is looking for a loving, patient household, willing to embrace all the joy and cheerful energy he brings.
Sheldon is good with other small dogs and has an innate curiosity about cats, making him a wonderful addition to a home with a mix of companions. Although timid around people, Sheldon has shown great courage and improvement in learning to trust. Each day brings new growth, building his confidence with the help of treats, his favourite reward.
Sheldon will need some basic training to help him feel more comfortable and safe, but rest assured, his capacity and enthusiasm for learning shine through his eyes. He has already had some experience with a collar and lead, displaying tolerance albeit a slight hesitation to proceed on walks. But given some time and patience, our wee Sheldon will surely be strutting confidently beside you.
Now, let's talk about an adorable deal-breaker: Sheldon comes with an inseparable friend, Tiny. These two have formed a deep bond, and are looking to be rehomed together. Their playful antics and shared quiet moments are sure to fill your home with love and laughs.
So if you’re looking for a delightful duo who’ll provide endless warmth, laughter, and companionship, Sheldon and Tiny could be a perfect match. This pair is ready to find a family who will love having them around, and in return, they'll add that extra sparkle to your life.
Medical notes

Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
